Since 2007, comics and graphic novels whose narratives intersect with medicine, healthcare, the body, and the mind, have been categorized as an emerging genre of cartooning called graphic medicine. Sharing examples of her own work, and others’ graphic memoirs, comics, and ‘zines, Kriota Willberg explores this dynamic interdisciplinary narrative art form that communicates personal, clinical, cultural, and educational narratives through text and image.
